Planning Your Wedding at
First Presbyterian Church

The wedding ceremony can be one of the most meaningful and memorable experiences of your life. For that reason, and because this church is dedicated to the worship of God, all wedding ceremonies in this church are designed to serve two purposes:

·      To honor God as an active participant in the new relationship, and

·      To be as meaningful as possible for the bride and groom.

We seek to minister to the needs of both our congregational members and others who wish to hold their weddings here. All persons, whether of this church or otherwise, may make use of the church facilities for this purpose, subject to such regulations as the church may establish.

Available to you is a booklet designed to acquaint you with our practices and to help plan your wedding at First Presbyterian Church. You can pick up a copy at the church office.

It is our policy that our pastors conduct the weddings at this church. Some couples ask about the involvement of guest clergy. Such an arrangement needs to have the approval of the Session and is arranged by our pastor(s).

Members of First Presbyterian Church should contact the church office for a fee schedule.

Fees for non-members:

·        The fee for a non-member wedding is $635. This includes building rental and personnel fees for a full wedding.

·        The fee for a non-member reception held in the Social Hall ranges from $325 to $375.

·        Fees are to be paid at least two weeks prior to the wedding.

·        A detailed breakdown of fees is listed in the booklet.

Thank you for your interest in holding your wedding at First Presbyterian Church. Please contact the church office at 673-5559 if you have any questions.
